Collection search - Ship plans and engine drawings [technical drawings (microform)]

Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the Marine Safety Directorate at Transport Canada headquarters. Accession contains aperture cards of technical plans and drawings of ships, including war time merchant vessels as well as vessels deemed historical by TC, such as Duke of Connaught, Glencoe, Shathblane, Aboena, Ravenscraig, Glenfinart, Virginian, Keenora, Keno, Casca and Whitehorse. Accession also includes aperture cards of technical drawings of ship engine types, namely deep submersive vessels and air receiving engines. These drawings appear to have been used by the Marine Safety Directorate as part of their oversight and approval of the construction and maintenance of Canadian-registered large commercial vessels.
