Ikpuck, an Inuk and his family, pack their belongings for a trip by dog sled. Several shots, from various distances, show several dog teams pulling sleds. Shown are: sequences of Arctic terrain with no snow, but with iceflows on the water; the CGS Arctic at anchor; the crew of the Arctic coming ashore in a whaleboat and heading for a boulder-covered cache; rugged terrain; a launch, flying the Red Ensign, approaching shore; and an Eskimo (Inuk) woman using an ulu to eat blubber. Captain Bernier and RCMP Inuit guide bestow gifts of biscuits on the assembled Eskimos (Inuit).
