Sub-series consist of records created and/or maintained by the Dominion Observatory. The sub-series contains a variety of photographs which includes glass plate negatives and some celluloid film negatives. Some of the negatives are half stereographs.The photographs depict views of the Dominion Observatory in Ottawa, ON, its grounds, buildings and equipment (1906-1931). There are also photographs of the construction of the main building at the Dominion Observatory (1903-1904). Photographs within this sub-series also depict the Hog's Back Falls, Rideau River, Ottawa, ON. (1905) and views of Stonyhurst College, Clitheroe, Lancashire England. Some of the photographs were taken by J.S. Plaskett and Alfred Steadworthy.
