General note:

Accession consists of registry files from the Museums Assistance Program (MAP) of the National Programmes Branch of the National Museums Corporation. Files span blocks 1000 to 1411 and cover subjects including, but not limited to: acts and legislation, agreements, associations, clubs and societies, meetings of the National Museums Policy Consultative Committee and other committees, the Board of Trustees, legal opinions, liaison, and parliamentary inquiries.

Custodial history:

After the dismantling of the National Museums Corporation, these records were maintained by the Department of Communications before being transferred to the National Archives in 1993.
