A selection of exhibition prints photographed by Philip Bergerson serves as a representation of Bergerson's work over his career. The earliest prints (1970s) document Bergerson's early experimentation with photo manipulation. In the 1980s, with Toronto, London, and Paris as his backdrop, he explored his interest in image sequencing and grid work through topics of consumerism, the human body, art and architecture. Nearing the end of the 1980s, he also tried his hand at photo manipulation and computer images.

Moving into the 1990s, and the largest selection of prints, is Bergerson's career-long project of photographing public displays of culture and ideologies, as he perceived them. Over the years, there is a perceivable shift to the south of Canada, as the Bergerson regularly returned to American towns and cities to photograph. As can be expected for a project spanning over two decades, the oeuvre for this project is massive, and the prints in this series are only a selected sampling from the project.

Coming full circle, Bergerson revisited his early 1970s negatives and experimentation with photo manipulation, by making a small series of "Black and White Reinterpreted" prints in 2018.
