The series consists of photographs taken by George Mully, or occasionally other photographers, in Canada and the United States. These photographs include 363 images depicting Inuit and First Nations people in Canada, covering various geographical areas and subjects including education, business and growth opportunities; religion and traditional/contemporary lifestyle (hunting, fishing, craft making, canoe and kayak building); human rights issues; air transportation and reserves. More specifically the series includes colour slides related to Canada's Indigenous communities and their school design and construction; various staff of Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development; religion, hunting, fishing, craft making, monumental (previously totem) pole making & installation, elders, human rights march for Indian Women's Rights; tipi (teepee), hut & igloo housing; business opportunities, industries and contemporary life; canoe & kayak building; people at work & children at play; air transportation; Manitou College & Akwesasne Mohawk School; signage and various views of Indigenous reservations.
