St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation. Reference Library : In support of its operational duties, the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority (SLSA) maintained a reference library containing informational and reference documents gathered from a variety of sources. When the SLSA was privatized in 1998, the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation (SLSMC) retained physical custody of a body of SLSA records, including the records of the SLSA reference library. In the years since the privatization, SLSMC created its own reference library, regrouping the former SLSA reference collection together with certain records of SLSA's operations. SLSMC has continued to return these records to Transport Canada as they become inactive, and Transport Canada has eventually transferred them to Library and Archives Canada.
