Collection search - Parole Case files and operational records of the Ontario Region [textual record]

The records in this accession consist of Ontario region parole case files and various administrative files. The case files may contain correspondence, assessment reports, petitions and case summaries relating to an inmate's application(s) for parole, and the resulting decision of the Board. Some of the records also document the time, activities and life of an inmate once the inmate has been released from the penitentiary and is fulfilling the parole requirement of his/her sentence. The administrative files include records related to the 1988 Pepino Inquiry, case audits and investigations, and information dealing with the Royal Prerogative of Mercy.
