Canada Lands Company Limited : The Canada Lands Company Limited (CLCL) (originally Public Works Land Company Limited) was created by letters patent on March 7, 1956 under the Companies Act. Reorganized by the Canada Not For Profit Corporations Act in September 1977, CLCL was revived by extension under the Canada Business Corporations Act.

Registered as a parent company in Schedule C-1 of the Financial Administration Act (S.C. 1983 84, c. 31), the Minister of Public Services and Procurement is the responsible minister. An arms length, self-financing Crown Corporation, CLCL is responsible for the management and the development of real property for the Government of Canada. Through this mandate, CLCL operates primarily in two areas: the real estate sector and the attractions sector. It should be noted that it is one of its wholly owned subsidiaries, the Canada Lands Company CLC Limited (CLC), which is responsible for carrying out the real estate activities of CLCL (i.e. the purchase of real property that the federal government no longer needs and their management or their improvement and sale).

As of August 2018, CLCL has three wholly owned active subsidiaries: CLC which in addition to real estate activities manages the CN Tower in Toronto; the Old Port of Montréal Corporation, which is responsible for managing the Old Port of Montréal and the Montréal Science Centre; and Parc Downsview Park Inc., which is responsible for the management and redevelopment of the lands of the former Canadian Forces Base Toronto to create Downsview Park and Downsview Lands.
Its former wholly owned subsidiaries : Canada Lands Company (Mirabel) Ltd and Canada Lands Company (Vieux-Port de Québec) Inc.
