This photograph album consists of 45 photographs showing various scenes along the railway line, from Winnipeg on west. Included are photographs of the main street of Winnipeg, labourers from eastern Canada, views of ranching landscapes, portraits of important indigenous people, portraits of some representative animals of northwestern Canada, and views of places (such as Rossland) in the interior of British Columbia. The album was presented to William Van Horne from K. Steele of Steele and Company Photographers, Winnipeg, June 1896.
