The school was jointly sponsored by the Canadian Labour Congress and the International Congress of Free Trade Unions. Max Swerdlow, education director of the CLC, was chief co-ordinator of the conference. Many delegates from foreign countries attended the conference and the tapes include several untranslated talks in foreign languages.
