General note:

This file contains architectural and design drawings of the Ceylon pavilion which was designed and built for Expo 67. This structure was intended as a temporary foreign government-sponsored structure located in Expo Area: Ile Notre-Dame. The pavilion was modeled after the audience hall in the ancient hill capital of Kandy and consisted of two levels with exhibits and a lower level containing a tea lounge. The owner/contracting body was the Government of Ceylon; Colombo, Ceylon. The design architect was V. Kamdavel, Colombo, Ceylon; the local associate architects were C. R. M. Wood, Ottawa and Archibald, Illsley & Templeton, Montreal. Project Type: National and Private Participants = Participants nationaux et privés.
