Records found in this series pertain to Thompson's other professional activities and official postings through-out his career. Records pertain to his tenure as General Director of the National Theatre School (1987-1990), his work as mentor and instructor to emerging artists (National Arts Centre, Stratford Festival), his work on various juries and arts committees (Canada Council, Chalmers Awards), his work on study groups (The 1976-1977 Study Group on the Arts in French-Speaking Ontario and subsequent Savard Report) his writings (articles, reviews, introductions to plays and performances, essays), his various letters of recommendation and support for up and coming Canadian artists, his international freelance work as director and mentor in Canada (Iqaluit - 1987) as well as internationally (Georgia - 2003, Brazil - 2007), grants requested and grants received. Series also holds a certain amount of manuscripts and typescripts of Paul Thompson's writings (essays, introductions to plays and performances, book and performance reviews, various articles, histories and reminiscences, various reports). Series contains video recordings of Thompson's lectures and speaking engagements.
