Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal and its predecessor the Canadian Human Rights Commission.

The accession includes the official records and case files (including prehearing conferences, exhibits, transcripts, authorities and decision) relating to cases heard by the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal prior to and after the Tribunal's independence from the Commission in 1998. Also includes some review Tribunal cases. Summaries and records of decision of many of the cases in this accession can be accessed via the Tribunal's searchable database http://decisions.chrt-tcdp.gc.ca/chrt-tcdp/en/nav.do.
