Chaison (Interiewer]Description:Mr Doucet descirbed his early employment in New Brunswick and in Detroit, Michigan. There was a discussion of his position as a machinist at the CNR shops in Moncton and his involvement in the affairs of the local of the International Assocaition of Machinists. Referenc ewas then made to his role as an organizer and representative of IAM, the Trades and Labour Congress and the Canadian Labour Congress. Mr. Doucet gave his impressions of individuals he had met over the years, including Claude Jodoin, Arthur Scaling, James Whitebone, Douglas Cochrane, Horace Pettirgrove, Hon. Hugh John Flemming, Hon. Louis Robichaud, C.N. Wilson and K.C. Irving. There was also a discusson of international unionism, union political activities and wage-price controls.
