This accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the No. 1 Engineer Support Unit (1 ESU). Records consist of architectural plans and technical drawings of engineering and construction projects of the No. 1 Construction Engineering Unit (1 CEU), which was redesignated as the No. 1 Engineer Support Unit in 2003.

The documents are arranged by CEU project number. The accession consists of various plans and technical drawings pertaining to projects completed in Canada and overseas, as part of Canadian Forces operations, and overseas facilities and base development. Included are files related to construction and engineering projects in remote areas, such as the Canadian Forces Station Alert, as well as operations such as Operation HURRICANE, Operation CAVALIER, Operation ACADIA, Operation PALLADIUM, Operation TOUCAN, Operation APOLLO, and Operation ATHENA.
