Series includes audio recordings that document the founding convention of the Canadian Paperworkers Union (June 1974) and a conference of local presidents of the United Paperworkers International Union (February 1974). Series also includes a video entitled "Faison front commun" which presents a history of and structure of Canadian Paperworkers Union (1986, French-language video). Series also includes 1 photograph depicting a parade float for J. R. In 1972, the United Paperworkers International Union (UPIU) was formed following a merger between the International Brotherhood of Pulp, Sulphite and Paper Mill Workers (IBPSPMW) and the United Papermakers and Paperworkers (UPP).
