This series consists of records related to the life and career of the Reverend John Wilson, Madam Wilson's husband. The records document his education, and his careers with the Navy, Mosport, and as a Reverend with the United Church of Canada. This includes his time as a naval chaplain during the Korean War. The types of records include correspondence, notes, reports, and diplomas. The records in this series provide a glimpse into Reverend Wilson's time spent as a Navy chaplain during the Korean War, including administrative documents, bank notes from several Asian countries, travel tickets, reports, and Reverend Wilson's typed notes, covering the period from 31 March to 25 May 1952. In these notes, Wilson described his experience during the war, such as witnessing combat. The records also document Wilson's career as a Reverend in the United Church, including the 'call' he received from the congregation in Renfrew, Ontario, to become their minister. Another file, deemed by Reverend Wilson as his 'clerical catch-all' includes handwritten notes of the theological research he completed.
