Series consists of documents related to the project of a book for the centennial of Confederation on the Hudson Bay, entitled "Science, History and Hudson Bay", edited by C.S. Beals, designed by D.A. Shenstone and edited by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources.The book is composed of the following chapters: Volume 1 : 1. Prehistory 2. History 3. The People 4.Geography 5. Climate 6. The Water and Ice 7.Marine Life 8. Flora and Fauna 9. Geology. Volume 2: 10. Geophysical Studies 11. Upper Atmosphere Research 12. Transport and Communication 13. Defence Forces Operation 14.Economic Possibilities 15. Theories of Origin (this chapter contains an article of Beals: "On the Possibility of a Catastrophic Origin for the Great Arc of Eastern Hudson Bay".)
