Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the British Columbia Penitentiary.

The accession includes, but is not limited to: a script for public tours of the facility after its closure; plans of the penitentiary property; a plan of the penitentiary cemetary plot; and drawings and partial drawings of penitentiary structures, such as a proposed guards walk and sentry box.

These records are held at the Pacific Regional Service Centre in Burnaby, B.C.

Custodial history:

These records were donated anonymously to B.C. Archives and Records Service, who then transferred them to LAC's Vancouver Regional Office on April 13, 1994.
