Sub-series consists of informational material prepared for the minister (correspondence, memos and reports).

Several files deal with appeals by Canadian military personnel for redress of grievances, others deal with R.C.M.P. issues, largely the contracting of R.C.M.P. services by certain provinces. A series of files contain briefing material on cannabis, capital punishment, enforcement of criminal law, gun control, justice for victims of crime, mandatory supervision, Del Zotto Construction (and allegations of organized crime) and the Rauca case (war criminals).
