This series consists of correspondence, some reports, notes, memos and the like. It is Kaplan's correspondence with organizations, associations and corporate entities. Some of the material reflects his connection with groups and participation in social, volunteer and benevolent associations, such as the Baycrest Jewish Home for the Aged and chapters of B'Nai B'Rith, while others show his links to immigrant communities. While some are local in character, others are national (Canadian Council for Soviet Jewry) and international (Amnesty International). There are files from businesses, companies and the C.M.A., promoting the interests of business. There are also some thematic correspondence files based on subject, such as Civil Disobedience, as well as CFB Downsview, the military base in his riding which was a prominent matter of discussion. Further, there are also a number of Liberal Party files which reflect his work in his riding and election preparedness.
