Lord Dufferin apologizes for not having written in a while and discusses the work which has kept him busy. He explains the projects the Canadian Government is working on including building a canal from the Gulf of St. Lawrence to the Bay of Fundy and building a ship passage from Lake Superior. Lord Dufferin also discusses how he has been getting along well with the new minister. In the coming month they are going fishing, and then on an expedition across Lake Superior.
