The series consists of a metadata document entitled Dan Hill Archive that was prepared in 1996 by Sphinx Productions to describe records of the musician's career. It preceded the acquisition of Dan Hill's papers by Library and Archives Canada. All records are grouped by acronyms that refer to either albums produced by Dan Hill or to companies that he set up to manage various aspects of his career.
