Massacre of the Mayans is a painting by William (Bill) J. Stapleton. The painting depicts Guatemalan soldiers raping a woman, killing an infant and various other atrocities. The painting was considered controversial when it was first display in Toronto in June 1984. It became the subject of a censorship debate and was featured in various television productions.
