Video recording of a 1980 BBC documentary entitled Roy Harris: An American voice, comprising excerpts of his orchestral works performed by the Pacific Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Keith Clark, chamber music performed by Johanna Harris and the Sequoia String Quartet, and interviews with Roy Harris, Johana Harris, Aaron Copeland, and William Schuman, among others; of Johana Harris with friends, rehearsing, and in concert at Brandt Library (January 25, 1987) performing works by Bach (piano transcriptions of organ chorale preludes In dir ist Freude BWV 615, Christ lag in Todesbanden BWV 625, and Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ BWV 639) and others; of What's the Score with host Marcia Lebow, in which the topic is Roy Harris' Symphony No. 3 and includes an interview with the composer; and of Johana Harris in recital for L'Ermitage Foundation (September 11, 1989), performing the works Tocatta, Five American Ballads (Roy Harris); Impromptu in C minor, Op. 90 No. 1 (Franz Schubert), Romance in F-sharp major, Op. 28 No. 2 (Robert Schumann); Duetto from Songs Without Words, Op. 38 (Felix Mendelssohn); Mazurka in A minor, Op. 68 No. 2, Mazurka in F-sharp minor, Op. 6 No. 1 (Frédéric Chopin); Docteur Gradus ad Parnassum, Petite Suite - with Jake Heggie (Claude Debussy); Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ BWV 639 (Johann Sebastian Bach); in addition to an unidentified chorale prelude (possibly on the choral Wachet auf), her own improvisation, and an encore. <4h 3mn>
