The fonds also contains photographs, [ca. 1935]-1977, of Dr. R. Norman Jones and colleagues with spectrometers, portraits of post-doctoral fellows who worked with Dr. Jones; and spectographs on glass plates of various substances studied by Dr. Jones during the 1930's; a number of the plates have been annotated by Dr. Jones.

There are also 35mm colour slides, dating from Sept. 1937 to the late 1990's. They were taken by Dr. R. Norman Jones and document his career and personal life from his post-graduate days at Harvard through his various university and National Research Council appointments in Canada, the United States and Japan, as well as conferences, travel, residences, friends and colleagues, family, etc.

Arrangement note:

Dr. R. Norman Jones identified and numbered all images in numerical sequence. The identification can be found in five hand-written notebooks and one three ring binder found in vol. 178.
