This accession of records consists of central registry files created at the Authority's Cornwall office. A small quantity of files concern the subject of Canadian Government loans to the Authority and ice reports and studies in the Cornwall Reach and Detroit and St. Clair Rivers section. The majority of the files are for a variety of professional services utilized by the Authority, and include contracts issued for such items as the dredging of Port Weller Harbour, construction of a jetty (Ville Brossard), landscape architecture (Channel Relocation Port Robinson to Ramey's Bend), a land survey of the Cornwall Canal and real property inventory compilations of Authority-owned buildings and other facilities. Also included is a 1970 contract/issued report concerning the economic potential of the Seaway.
These documents were accessioned after the proclamation of the Access to Information and Privacy Acts, and must be viewed in accordance with the provisions of the legislation before they can be made available for research. Consult the Access Section if you wish to have this material reviewed.
