This series documents all the activities of the firm surrounding the search for commissions, the design process and the related project management operations. The series is further divided into three sub-series: one for promotion (MIKAN 5050658); one projects (MIKAN 5050670); and one distinct sub-series for the Toronto Skydome (MIKAN 5050701), thus reflecting the huge mass of records available.

LAC has strived to create series as distinct from each other as possible but, as many records were transferred to LAC in boxes in no particular order, it was not always possible to perceive the very fine distinction between a "promotion file" and a "project file", both may be very similar. Without the full knowledge of each file's history of prior storage, it is quite possible that some may have been assigned to the wrong portion of the series. Researchers are advised to conduct their searches accordingly.

In all sub-series, the types of documents encountered may include one or many of the following: contract, correspondence with client or consultant, research notes, documentation by others, sketches, specification, shop drawings, photographs, and architectural drawings.
