Series consists of Canadian Space Agency (CSA) documentation relating to technical projects.

Series includes textual records dating from 1989 onwards pertaining to the International Space Station and other projects such as RADARSAT-1, other space technology development, and experiments in space medicine.

Series also consists of a collection of 62 technical drawings depicting the Space Station Freedom, dating from 1989-1990. Series also consists of satellite-related technical drawings: two collections totalling 69 drawings related to the Anik series satellites and dating from 1969-1977, as well as a collection of 1358 technical drawings relating to the Communications Technology Satellite, dating from 1970-1975. Series also consists of 11 technical drawings dating from 1979, and that appear to relate to components of the Canadarm (labelled ITRS, exact meaning not yet ascertained).

General note:

Technical terminology used in this series includes:

COSPAR Id: Identification number assigned by the Committee for Space Research to each space mission and object which achieves orbit. An identifier could appear as 1990-037B (Hubble Space Telescope). The first portion, 1990 in this case, indicates the year of the launch. The second portion, 037 here, indicates that this is the 37th launch which occurred in that year. The final part, B in this case, indicating the piece of the launch.

Apogee: The point in an object or satellite's orbit where it is the furthest from the Earth.

Perigee: The point in an object or satellite's orbit where it is the closest to the Earth.

Inclination: The angle between the plane of an object or satellite's orbit and the plane of the Earth's equator.

Period: The time required for an object or satellite to make one complete orbit of the Earth.
