This sub-series consists of records relating to Canadian Toy Testing Council's Sticker Program.

In mid to late 1970s, the CTTC first developed a logo (the iconic bear enclosed in a circle) to help represent itself as an organization. From 1983 onwards, a "seal of approval" (which used a version of the iconic logo) was created for toys that had received a "highly recommended" rating. Then various companies were - for a fee - granted the right - via a legal agreement - to use this "seal" on toys that were considered of award-winning value. The council produced and sold the stickers, and used the revenue generated from their sale to help with the running of everyday operations.

in the early 1990s, the CTTC updated its logo, and re-developed the "seal of approval" concept into a more fully-fledged "sticker program". In this program, the council granted to companies the non-exclusive right to use and apply stickers (or seals) to toys and books that were award-winning.

The records here primarily consist of correspondence and legal agreements between the Canadian Toy Testing Council and various toy and book companies. There is also artistic material relating to the development of the CTTC logo and various seals of approval.
