General note:

This accession contains two folio sheets of maps from Abraham Ortelius' atlas, 'Theatrum Orbis Terrarum' that were in the custody of the National Map Collection, National Archives of Canada.

The first folio contains the maps "Regionis Biturigum Exactiss: Descriptio Per D. Ioannem Calamaeum" and "Limaniae Topographia Gabriele Symeoneo Auct". The second folio contains the maps "Turingiae Noviss. Descript per Iohannem Mellinger Halens" and "Misniae et Lusatiae Tabula Descripta a. M Bartholomeao Sculteto Gorlit".

These maps are very fragile. Conservation required.
