General note:

Original envelopes may be found in CANADA. DEPT. OF NATIONAL DEFENCE 1969-127 box 25 (barcode 2000815512) ; b&w safety negatives for items BN-004 to BN-192 maybe found in CANADA. DEPT. OF NATIONAL DEFENCE 1967-052 DND box 059.

Custodial history:

Part of the BN prefix material (negative numbers BN 001 to 204) was transferred in 1967, as part of accession 1967-052, and the remainder of the material (negative numbers BN 206 to 6060) was transferred in 2008 along with other analogue photography from the National Defence Image Library, Canadian Forces Joint Imagery Centre (NDIL / CFJIC). Post-unification of the Armed Forces, the HMCS BONAVENTURE photo series was redesignated "BV." BV negative numbers BV-67-45 to BV-70-337 were transferred in 2008.
