Collection search - Maps of Africa - National map collection [cartographic material]

This accession contains various published maps from multiple private and/or foreign sources that were in the custody of the National Map Collection, Public Archives of Canada.

Included in this accession are general maps of the African continent and Central and South Africa; political and treaty boundary maps of Africa; and maps of specific regions and countries including, Algeria, South Africa, the Sudan, Egypt, the Orange Free State, the New Transvaal State, and Uganda.

Please note, maps which contain a local classification number [eg. D/5000] belong in R12567, Maps, Plans and Charts collection; Maps without a local classification number belong in R15478, Published Cartographic Material collection. Refer to finding aid for the archival arrangement of each item.

These items were held in the custody of the National Map Collection, Public Archives of Canada. The exact provenance and date of reception is unknown.
