This accession contains twenty-four boxes of administrative and operational files, mainly from the Department of Fisheries and Forestry's Forestry Services Branch. The material relates to general topics such as civil defense, acts and legislation, timber, wood base materials, veneer and plywood, wood preservation, and lumber. It will also contain some general information relating to research material, provincial agreements, and administration.

Files use a duplex, two-digit series in use between approximately 1953 and 1967 as the forestry function moved from the Department of Resources and Development, to an independent Department of Forestry (later Department of Forestry and Rural Development).
