This sub-series contains scrapbooks created by Roy Fairbairn Walker. These scrapbooks generally contain magazine and newspaper clippings, diagrams, maps pasted onto cardboard or stiff paper, and their content either relates to the evolution of the design and contruction of locomotive engines in the 19th and early 20th centuries; or their content relates to locations of the routes of various railway lines in Canada and elsewhere.

More specifically, Walker shows an interest in locomotives designs from the following countries: Canada, Great Britain, United States, China, Russia, France, India, South Africa, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia, and Mexico. Walker also shows an interest in compiling information on the following railway lines: Canadian National Railways, Canadian Pacific Railways, Northern Alberta Railway. Hudson Bay Railway, The White Pass & Yukon Route, The Pacific Great Eastern Railway, The Alaska Railroad, Quebec North Shore & Labrador Railway, Algoma Central & Hudson Bay Railway, Huntsville & Lake of Bays Railway, Temiscouata Railway, and the Kettle Valley Railway.
