Collection search - Civil Case Files of the Director of Investigation and Research, Competition Bureau [multiple media]

Accession consists of civil case files created and/or maintained by the Director of Investigation and Research. The Competition Bureau has the ability to refer criminal matters to the Attorney General of Canada, who then decides whether to prosecute before the courts. The Bureau also has the power to bring civil matters before the Competition Tribunal or other courts depending on the issue.

Files include advisory opinions, interventions, production of documents, appeals, searches, oral examinations, provincial regulatory review, written returns, interrogations, appeal to Cabinet and policy reviews, related to Canadian companies, associations and organizations.
