Accession consists of records created prior to the establishment of the CFIA in 1997. Files pertain predominantly to salmonella (generally, in feeds, in swine and in poultry, programs aimed at its control, and investigations into its presence in poultry) but also to listeria in meat products as well as in fresh fruit and vegetables. Also found in this accession are records pertaining to agricultural research and committees, investigations into the microbiological status of prepared meats, and files on residue and compositional analysis.
