This series consists of recordings of telephone conversations as well as transcripts of some of these conversations. These transcripts can also be found in some case files. One of the more important activities undertaken by Genya Intrator was keeping in touch with refuseniks and their families by phone. She taped many of these phone calls and transcribed the generalities of some of them in English. Also included in the tapes are the conversations she had with fellow Soviet Jewry activitists and committee members. The majority of these conversations are in Russian, though there are a number in English and a few in Hebrew. She often discusses living conditions in prisons, living conditions for refuseniks who were living in poverty, health of refuseniks and their families, upcoming visits to Russia by Westerners, as well as activities undertaken by the various organizations she is involved with. Some of the notable conversationalists include: Ida Nudel; Natan Sharansky; Avital Sharansky; Vladimir Prestin; Stepan Khmara; and Isi Leibler.
