In the 1970s. The couple met in the Greek Labour Association, a Montreal umbrella group. The pair stayed in the Parti communiste du Quebec (PCQ) to the end. Female subject believes problems began with Kashtan resenting his ouster. Greeks were found to be in a majority of those remaining in the PCQ, but stood down, in order to allow Francophones to make the decisions. Male subject helped the Greek Left reorganize by forming the Greek Progressive Committee. It is more open than the Party.
