Nick was born in 1933. His father was an English immigrant, his mother American. His father became active in municipal politics and the Peace movement. Nick was recruited to the National Federation of Labor Youth (NFLY). He had drifted away from the movement by 1959. Nick reflects on Cold War Scarborough, and the Red baiting that dogged his dad's campaign for Reeve. Nick describes his NFLY activities in more detail. He traces the evolution of the Peace movement.
