Curtis (Robert D. Walker), the overbearing captain of the barge, forces his attentions on a young woman Sal (Miriam Cooper). Bob (Val Cleary) comes to her rescue, fights with Curtis and pushes him into the water. Curtis' sweetheart, Martha (Mary Taylor Ross), sees him, somewhat inebriated, again making advances to Sal and realizes she has lost him forever. Curtis attacks Martha, throwing her basket of washing into the canal, but Dick and Madge (Herbert Tracy and Irene Boyle), two youngsters who aspire to becoming detectives, arrive in time to stop the altercation at gunpoint. Dick recovers the washing and Curtis returns to the bar. Returning to the barge Curtis fights with Bob and is dismissed. Bob is made captain. <5mn 46s>Language:Silent with English intertitlesNotes:Genre:DRAMADetailed holdings information: -
