Reeks as part of a series of interviews with Canadian foresters recorded for the Forest Management Institute's oral history of forestry in Canada. He speaks about such subjects as: his early life; education and career development; Forest Products Laboratories and the Canadian Forestry Service in the 1930s; the Canadian Society of Forest Engineers; impressions of New Brunswick timber operators and others; the Maritimes Lumber Bureau; the Eastern Rockies Forest Conservation Board; impressions of Major-General Kennedy; Canadian Forestry Service administrators and researchers; the effect of the Second World War on research in the Forest Products laboratories; the New Brunswick Forest Development Commission; the New Brunswick Water Authority; the New Brunswick Forest Resources Authority; work as a consultant; development of forest policy for the Canadian Institute of Forestry; the Canada Forestry Act; and a critique of Canadian Forestry Service research. <80mn>
