Film about the Wormen's Royal Naval Service (WRNS), illustrated through the story of a Wren's first posting. It shows: the Naval College at Greenwich, the new Wren posted to a Naval Air Station on the south coast of England, scenes of the Naval Air Station including accommodation, the mess, Wrens cooking, folding and testing parachutes, playing tennis and watching a ceremony, the communications room, WRNS Despatch Riders, the Wren watching her teleprinter in the communications room as it reports a fictitious sighting of a German battleship and the steps taken to intercept it, officers and WRNS at headquarters plot the position of the ship, planes and ships leaving to intercept it, routine work in the communications room, news that the German battleship has been sunk, an appeal for recruits and more shots of Greenwich. <8mn 17s>
