Initial sequence depicts product testing in 1958 for impact, endurance, and fidelity with shots of phones being dropped and design considerations. The second sequence depicts the results of the 1963 market trial with graphs to indicate sales figures in comparison to other telephone models. Initial test marketing in Jackson, Michigan and Janesville, Wisconsin proved successful. Barbara Taylor, a supervisor in Jackson discusses customer response to the new model. Janesville plant managger John Breckenridge talks about the wide appeal of the Trimline with stage clips of various professionals explaining its advantages.
