File consists of a typescript of the autobiography of John Ayaruaq (Jean Ajaruaq). There is a foreword by J.H McNeill, translated into English, which indicates that Father Arthur Thibert encouraged John Ayaruaq to write his story, and Thibert made copies of it. In 1968, the typecript was published as "The Autobiography of John Ayaruaq" by St. Paul University with assistance from the Welfare Division of the Northern Administration Branch.
