Dudek started his teaching career at the City College in New York. In 1951, he began what would be a life-long commitment at McGill University, where he was a professor of English, and had the honour of being Emeritus Professor of English even after he retired. He was still on staff at McGill University when he died in 2001.
This series is evidence of Dudek's immense popularity with his students with the amount of correspondence he received from them, often just notes of thanks for being such a wonderful instructor.
This series consists of every aspect of Dudek's teaching career, including administrative related material, correspondence and papers from students (including thesis papers).

There are two sub-series in this series to accommodate Dudek's career at McGill as well as his other teaching-related material (small amount). The McGill material is divided into Sub-sub-series and described at that level only, due to the bulk of the material.
