Collection search - Real estate, property and precedential property recrds of the B.C. Region [textual record]

Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the B.C. Region of the Department of Justice.

The accession includes, but is not limited to: real estate records, including land sales, leases, transfers of mortgages, first nation reserves, airports, federal departments, and municipalities; precedential property records, including those relating to Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, third party interests on reserve lands, additions to reserves within municipalities, squatters on reserves, and real property reform process; and property records, including those relating to various federal departments, Veterans Land Act, conferences, first nations fisheries agreements, leases, commerical and property law.

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
