These records consist of National Energy Board and Panel Minutes from 1959 to 1986. French translations of the Board Minutes from 1969 to 1984 are also included. The following panels' minutes are included in the records: Electrical Panel (1980-1986), Northern Pipeline Dempster Link Panel (1978-1983), Propane/Butane Export Control Panel (1973-1981), Financial Regulatory Panel (1981-1986), Gas Panel (1981-1986), Crude Oil Panel (1973-1981), Oil Panel (1973-1986), Oil Products Panel (1976-1985) and Pipeline Panel (1977-1986). Also included are files on the Committee on Energy Studies, Regulation on Tariffs, Regulation on Pipeline Construction, Steering Committee on Pipeline Regulation and the North Canadian Power Commission. The panels are decision-making boards which review, approve or reject applications submitted by companies, regulate all NEB activities adhering to existing policies and develop new procedures as warranted.
