Part one: The film begins with a shot of eggs being dumped into a pile. Inter-title; "Let us consider some of the reasons for this loss and a few suggestions that will help reduce it." Inter-title; "Swat the rooster after the breeding season - sell only infertile eggs for food." Shot of two roosters fighting in a yard. A farmer and daughter each grab a rooster, with the farmer holding an axe in his other hand. Inter-title; "Is this your hen house? Hens will not do their best in this kind of house." Interior shot of a messy and unkempt hen house. Shot of a new poultry house, with hens feeding and laying eggs in separate pens. Shot of a woman in the kitchen as the farmer enters and takes a basket of eggs down to the basement, and sorts them into crates. A different scene where a woman exists a farm house and places a basket of eggs in the backseat of a car. Shot of a General store. The farmer pulls up in a horse and buggy, and the General store owner inspects the eggs and throws them on the ground.~Part two: A man in an automobile pulls up and hands his basket of eggs to the General store owner and together they enter the store. "Merchants are always glad to receive eggs which have been properly handled." Two separate interior shots of a messy general store and a neat orderly store. "Conditions in General Stores are often responsible for heavy losses before the eggs reach the consumer." "The manner in which a merchant handles his eggs is often a good index to his business methods." "Mr. Good Eggs General Store." The film continues with shots of a properly made shipping crate. "Egg shipping cases should be strong." "They should be well padded at bottom and top." "Fillers should be of heavy weight and should fit closely." The film ends with a shot of a properly assembled and padded shipping egg crate. <9mn>
